Every year Back 2 Basics hosts family-style Christmas parties for children in foster care and group homes all over Houston and other areas of the state.  These parties bring the love of Jesus to children who have been abandoned and feel forgotten.  In addition to the party, Back 2 Basics provides each child with a duffle bag filled with a Bible, toys, toiletry items, a book, candy, and more.  The bag itself is a priceless gift to these children who often carry their few belongings around in a trash bag.  These bags are not possible without the generous donations of our community.  The goal is to supply bags for 1,500 kids this Christmas.

Here are a few ways you can invest in these children:

• Attend a party – If you’d like to attend the party, you will need to complete a short background check and read through a short document about some basic guidelines for working with children in foster care.  Please email brian.dunn@sbridge.org to sign up and get specifics on the day and time.

• Bring Food – A party is only as good as the food! If you’d like to bring a disposable tray of sweet or salty treats, please click here to signup.  You can simply drop your tray at StoneBridge before the date of the party.

• Donate Funds – At the party, the goal is to provide each child with a duffle bag filled with a Bible, personal hygiene items, candy, and some small toys.  Every $25 given helps cover the cost of a duffle bag and every $50 given helps cover the cost of a bag filled with items.  DONATE TO B2B
