One of the many things B2B does as the spiritual family is we throw a birthday party for over 200 teens each month. At every party we have, worship, a guest speaker, lunch, cake & ice cream, face-painting, basketball tournament and to top it off every teen with a birthday that month receives an awesome gift.
This month we were able to share and celebrate December, January and February birthdays with an extremely anointed man of God. Nick Vujicic, who also has a birthday in December shared his heart with teens in a way that no one else would be able to. The teens we minister to are not warm and fuzzy; they have been through so much, and over time have become very hard. They have been given good reason not to trust people, this day however was different they wanted to hear what Nick had to say and it was obvious that he was sincere. These kids are street smart and can see through fake people, they knew Nick was the REAL deal!
The toughest of the tough were moved by Nick’s words and his presence. Both tears and smiles were everywhere! Every teen and even their staff hung on every word that Nick said and even ran to the line to give him a hug! One teen in particular, I know without a doubt was experiencing God for the first time in his life after being ministered to by Nick. Even if it was only that one child, which it was actually many, it would make it all worth it!
Nick himself has felt rejection and at times even wanted to end his life, and though it may appear to some that he may have life harder than others, he makes it very clear that he needs no pity. He is a child of the Most High and blessed beyond imagination and he is fully secure in who he is in Christ and also in where he will spend eternity. I personally believe he is the most beautiful person I have ever met. I thank God for answering my prayer and bringing Nick to love and share with our kids!
